Terms and Conditions for Tuition

1. If we can offer the tuition you request on the tuition enquiry form, we will send you a link to an enrolment form. Once completed and signed by the student and the person responsible for paying the fees, you may be called for interview. If a place is offered, the registration fee is payable. The place will only be secured once the tuition fees have also been paid.

2. Fees are payable in advance and are due by the first day of term. Monthly payments in advance may also be acceptable but will incur additional charges.

3. Timetables may be altered at short notice should circumstances demand it.

4. It is not possible to make refunds for students who miss tutorials for any reason and we would suggest fee payers consider taking out an insurance policy against the cost of tutorials lost through illness. 24 hours notice is required to rearrange a tutorial, or the fee for that session remains payable.

6. The college reserves the right to refuse entry to public examinations or to release results if the tuition fees have not been paid in full.

7. Notice of withdrawal of half a term for each subject is required or half a term's fees will be payable in lieu of notice. An admin fee of £50 per subject applies to withdrawals.

8. A student may be asked to leave by the Principal in cases of serious misconduct. Under these circumstances fees for the whole of that term remain payable.

9. The college reserves the right to terminate a student’s tuition contract without cause, in which case fees for the remainder of that term will be refunded after deducting an admin fee of £50 per subject.

10. The college does not accept responsibility for students' personal possessions.

11. Students, their relatives and/or guardians may not approach our tutors with a view to soliciting their services other than through us for a period of 2 years after tuition through us ends.

12. All teaching materials used in our tutorials are the property of Wessex Tutors & Exam Centre Ltd or of our tutors and may not be re-used or passed on to third parties without written permission.

Terms and Conditions for Exams

1. If we can offer the exams you request on the exams enquiry form, we will send you a link to an application form. Once correctly completed and signed by the candidate (or the parent/guardian if the candidate is under 18), we will then advise the fees if a place is available. If a place is offered, it will only be secured once the fees have been paid in full. Changes to the information submitted to us will only be accepted by email.

2. If applicable, (Wessex tuition students only) evidence for 25% extra time must be submitted before the initial entry deadline on the Exams page of this website.

3. It is your responsibility to determine the correct entry code, including option, tier and carry forward codes, for each of the exams you want to take. Any amendments to your entry form will incur a fee of £35 in addition to any fee levied by the exam board.

4. Late entries beyond our initial deadline (see Exams page) will incur a fee of £50 per subject in addition to the late entry fee levied by the exam board. Very late entries beyond 19th March for the Summer series will incur a fee of £100 per subject in addition to the very late entry fee levied by the exam board.

5. The college reserves the right to refuse entry to public examinations or to release results if any tuition fees have not been paid in full.

6. Exam places will not be held beyond our initial deadline (see Exams page) if all instalment payments have not been received.

7. A candidate may be asked to leave by the Principal in cases of serious misconduct. Under these circumstances there will be no refund and no results or certificates will be provided.

8. The college does not accept responsibility for candidates' personal possessions.

9. Exam fee refunds will all be subject to our administration fee of £35, apart from this the amount will depend on the date of withdrawal: we will give a full refund if withdrawal is before our initial entry deadline (see Exams page). After that deadline we will give a 75% refund until 9th February; from then until 19th March we will give a 50% refund; after that no refund will be given.

10. Requests for remarking, appeals and requests for the return of scripts will each be subject to an admin fee of £35, in addition to any charges made by the exam board.
